His primary specialties include Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Business Planning, Digital Licensing/Negotiations (content acquisitions, content distribution, ecomm, digital advertising), Product/Project Management and General Management.
On the content side, Dan has experience with online digital services, terrestrial and pure-play streaming radio, online video/film/TV, audiobooks, podcasts, games, mobile apps and software applications.
On the hardware/distribution side, Dan has expertise with PC’s/notebooks, mobile devices, consumer electronics and the connected car. Companies he’s worked for directly include Motorola Mobility, Sony Electronics, Compaq Computers (HP), and Harman International (JBL, AKG, Harman/Kardon).
Dan enjoys helping define and deliver leading-edge creative digital media / entertainment solutions to market. From the strategy aspect, he can help define and massage the business model. He also has deep personal connections in the industry and knows where to turn for opportunity, support and expansion. He has had the opportunity to personally negotiate and executed more than a hundred licenses with major media, content and consumer electronics companies. From the tactical aspect, he has experience defining the product set, project planning the solution, working with cross-functional teams to handle the integration and managing the day to day aspects to get a project done.
